Ken Duncan says of Bridal Veil Falls, Yosemite National Park, California: "America has some of the most beautiful national parks in the world and I think Yosemite is one of the most spectacular. I was looking forward to coming to this area, to see some of the places immortalized by the captivating black and white images of famous American landscape photographer Ansel Adams, whose work I greatly admire. But I didn't want to merely recreate what he had captured so brilliantly; I wanted to come up with my own interpretation. The grandeur of this location was breathtaking with Bridal Veil Falls plummeting into the valley. It was a beautiful day, but I felt a clear blue sky didn't really do the scene justice. So I waited until these wispy clouds appeared and added an element of movement in the sky."
